Terms of use
In force since 1 September 2026.
These terms govern your use of the Zukan mobile application. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
1. Who we are

2. Not affiliated with Nintendo or The Pokémon Company
Zukan is an independent collection-management tool. It is not produced, endorsed, sponsored by, or affiliated with Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc., The Pokémon Company, or any of their subsidiaries. Pokémon and all associated names are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only descriptively, to refer to the cards you own.
3. What the app does, and what it is worth
Zukan identifies trading cards and displays price information gathered from public catalogues, marketplaces and recorded sales. This information is provided for reference only.
- It is not an appraisal, not a valuation, not a certificate, and not a guarantee that any card can be bought or sold at the price shown.
- It is not financial or investment advice. Collectible cards are not a regulated financial product, and their value can fall.
- Prices come from third parties, may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and depend on a card's condition, edition and authenticity — none of which the app can verify from a photo.
- Card identification is automated and can be mistaken. Always check the result against the card in your hand.
Decisions you make on the basis of what the app shows are yours alone.
4. Subscriptions
The app is free to use, with a limit of 5 scans per day. Zukan Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription:

Prices are in euros and may vary by country and by store-applied taxes; the price shown at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.
- Payment is taken by the App Store or Google Play at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- If you take the free trial, any unused part of it is lost when you subscribe.
- You cancel and manage the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in the app — the app links you there. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue them.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital content; by starting to use the subscription immediately you agree that performance begins at once, which by law ends that right. Store refund policies remain available to you regardless.
5. Your collection is yours
The data you enter stays yours. We claim no ownership of it, and you can take it out at any time as a CSV file from Settings. We do not sell it and we do not exploit it — see the privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile or resell the app; scrape it or drive it automatically at a volume that degrades the service for others; use it to build a competing catalogue; or use it for anything unlawful.
7. Availability
The app is local-first: your collection works without a network. The parts that depend on third-party sources — prices, recent sales, catalogue updates — depend on those sources being up, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or remove a price source if it becomes unusable or if its terms require it.
8. Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, nor for any loss arising from a price, an identification or an absence of data being wrong. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and a material change is announced in the app before it applies. Continuing to use the app afterwards means accepting the new version.
10. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a dispute before the courts of that country or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
